All scenes within the great proscenium arch of existence in the world. If we told the truth all the time we would be socially ostracised and almost certainly injured on a regular basis. Whilst we should control falsehood, we should also acknowledge its necessity and not feel guilty about using it. Pick any one of a thousand questions, from “Does my bum look big in this?” to “Why can’t you come to the game tonight?” – the honest answer might not only spell trouble but be hurtful as well.
